The church exists primarily for two closely correlated purposes: to worship God and to work for his kingdom in the world ... The church also exists for a third purpose, which serves the other two: to encourage one another, to build one another up in faith, to pray with and for one another... N.T. Wright
Worship
Worship is one of the ways in which human beings open themselves to sacred mystery. Our hope is that the experience of God in worship—traditionally, and before in-person worship was suspended - through Scripture readings, prayers, silence, music, sacrament, and relationship—increases our awareness of God’s action in our daily lives. All worship is done in communion—in communion with the worldwide church and with the communion of saints through the ages. In our worship, we transcend the divisions of the world and the values of rushing, striving, achieving and accumulating, in order to enter more fully into the Divine Life in which all human beings are sisters and brothers, beloved of God. Prayer
We seek to pray together more and more often by praying and learning about praying. Presently, we offer weekday prayer services and other mid-week offerings of prayer, fellowship and learning where we prepare for Sunday's worship by discussing the appointed lections.
